Tracking leash

Give your dog freedom of movement without the worry of a soaked and tangled webbing. Our long lines made from innovative Hexa material are the ideal solution and a great alternative to classic Biothane tracking leashes. Each of our long lines has a smooth, rubber-like feel that glides beautifully over the terrain, doesn't collect mud, and won't cut into your palm in the event of an unexpected jerk.

In our Czech workshop, we manufacture lightweight long lines for small dogs (narrower webbing) as well as highly durable long lines for large dogs. Choose exactly the length you need for recall training. We offer shorter 5m long lines, the popular 10m and 15m lengths, and for absolute freedom in nature, we also offer long 20m or 30m lines. Color-match it with a collar and get an all-weather companion.

Frequently Asked Questions about Long Lines

What is a long line and what is it used for?
A long line works as an extended arm of the owner. It gives the dog a maximum feeling of freedom during walks in meadows or forests, but you still have full control. It is an absolutely essential tool for safe recall training and especially for scent work.
What length should I choose (5m, 10m, 20m)?
Choose the length according to the training level and environment. For regular park walks and basic puppy training, a 5m or 10m long line is ideal. For scent work, a length of 10m is ideal, while for hunting training or dogs that already master basic recall and need a larger radius, we recommend 15m or 20m lengths.
Is Hexa better, or a classic rubberized long line / BioThane?
Unlike smooth BioThane (or regular rubber), Hexa material has a honeycomb pattern on the surface. This means that a rubberized Hexa long line offers a much better grip, doesn't slip even in heavy rain, and retains its flexibility in freezing temperatures better than cheaper plastic substitutes. It also doesn't get heavy with water like standard textiles.
How to choose a long line for large dogs vs. small dogs?
The difference lies in the width and weight of the webbing, including the snap hook. For small breeds up to 10 kg, always choose a thin strap (10 mm) so the leash isn't heavy for them and doesn't drag them down. However, we have good experience that this width handles medium breeds well too. For large and pulling breeds, on the other hand, it is necessary to choose a wider strap (20 mm) with a sturdy snap hook that can withstand a higher load when jerked.
