Switching leash

A multi-functional dog leash is highly versatile thanks to its system of snap hooks and D-rings (or O-rings). You can easily shorten it for busy streets, lengthen it for more freedom in the park, or securely clip it around your body for popular hands-free walking.

In our Czech workshop, we craft Hexa leashes exactly to your needs. You can choose a webbing width from a thin 10 mm (a lightweight multi-functional leash for small dogs) up to a wider 25 mm for larger dogs. Discover our washable, non-slip, and highly durable multi-functional leashes that don't tangle and will make every walk easier.

Frequently Asked Questions about Multi-Functional Leashes

How does a multi-functional dog leash work?
The leash has a snap hook on both ends and features several metal rings along its length (usually three). You clip one snap hook to the dog's collar and attach the other to the selected ring depending on how long you need the leash to be. This way, you can have a short city leash and a long forest leash all in one.
What leash width should I choose for small and large dogs?
Always choose the webbing width based on the dog's weight and strength. For small breeds up to 10 kg, we recommend 10 mm or 16 mm widths so the hardware isn't too heavy for them. For medium and large dogs that occasionally pull, a width of 20 mm is ideal. For giant breeds, we offer extra-strong leashes with a width of 25 mm.
What lengths do you make your multi-functional leashes?
You can customize our leashes on the product detail page. We commonly make lengths from 2 meters up to long multi-functional leashes measuring 3 m, 4 m, and 5 m. These longer variants are great for dogs you want to give more freedom to but cannot let off-leash completely.
Can I wear the multi-functional leash around my waist (hands-free)?
Yes, that's one of its biggest advantages! If you clip the snap hook to the furthest ring, you create a large loop that you can throw over your shoulder (like a crossbody bag) or fasten around your waist. This leaves your hands completely free for training, drinking coffee, or using your phone.
Is a rope multi-functional leash better, or one made of Hexa material?
Rope and braided leashes look nice, but they are impractical for the outdoors. If it rains or they fall into the mud, they soak up water, get heavy, and need to be washed. In contrast, Hexa material doesn't absorb moisture, doesn't smell, and even after rolling in the mud, you just need to rinse it under running water.
